Everything on this site follows rules I set for myself. Documents, dates, decisions, what institutions did. No interior states, no confessions. The rules are right for a public record in a country where the same medical file, read twice by the same state, produced opposite rulings. I have learned to publish only what survives being used.
But the rules produce a gap, and the gap belongs in the record too. This page documents it.
Eleven years of formats
To the university, I was a student ID whose exam answers were graded without context. To employers, one of 542 applications. To the immigration authority, an income figure. To the assessment doctor, a 25-minute impression: sits calmly, makes eye contact, speaks German well. To the court, a Gutachten. To every organization I contacted, a mandate question, answered no.
Each of these is a format. Each format holds a slice of a person and discards the rest.
Even here, on my own website, I appear as evidence. I built this record, I maintain it, and it is the most accurate public version of me that exists. It is still a file.
The bind
There is a reason I cannot simply step out from behind the documents. If I show capability, it is used against recognition: if you can study, why can't you work. If I show struggle, it is read as symptoms to be assessed or as complaint to be dismissed. If I show myself plainly to new people, eleven years of context cannot be delivered in two exchanges, and in Vienna the first impression decides everything.
Every honest version of me costs something in some proceeding. So the safest version of me is the file. I have become very good at producing it.
The need to talk did not go away. It has no format. That is the finding of this entry: after eleven years inside these systems, there exists no container, official or social, in which I am a person rather than a case. The offices are documented elsewhere on this site. This page documents the remainder.
Why this page exists
So that the record says it in one place: the person producing these documents is not identical with them. Every incident on this site happened to someone. That someone needs, at some point, to be more than the producer of his own evidence.
This is the one entry that will never be attached to any application, because no office has a field for it.
